Top Paralegal Associations

There are active paralegal organizations in all of the states and in regions for many of the larger states.  Generally they are affiliated with either the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) or the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).  Most provide continuing education opportunities, one of the staples for certified paralegals.

This is a partial list, but it’s a good resource if you are looking for assistance in learning about licensure requirements in a particular state, about continuing education requirements and in many cases, about job opportunities.  These organizations maintain themselves through new memberships, which are usually professionals new to the industry or those who are still students.  Most are willing to provide help and support to paralegal students, graduates and job seekers.
